In the song, Paak uses his platform and musical ability to speak up about the social unrest and covers powerful topics in order to bring attention to them.

The front of the album cover depicts the artist standing with a sign that reads, "The People Are Rising," in all caps. Next to his picture is a list of the names of Black men and women who have died as a result of police violence or brutality. Some names included in the list include Botham Jean, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Atatiana Jefferson, and George Floyd.
