Introducing Toronto-based upcoming artist Portion

Portion offers a refreshing, new sound that makes listeners want to keep his music on repeat.

It's only the beginning for Portion. The fast-rising Toronto rapper follows up "99 Prblms," "Ties," and "Wave" with "Hella Clean," which will be available on all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

“’Hella Clean’ was recorded in Atlanta when I just signed my deal with Warner Music Canada and started officially working on, I Am Nothing Without,” Portion says of his new single and debut EP. “’Hella Clean’ represents my struggles and growth towards the next chapter in life. We’ve been at the bottom for so long that we’ve gotten used to the way of living; we think it’s normal to go through certain struggles. ‘Let that choppa sing like a money machine’ is about the gun violence we experience to then making our way up and established in the world.”

Portion’s May debut “99 Prblms” has established him as a rising Toronto rapper to watch with editorial co-signs by 6ix.buzz, Complex, RANGE Magazine, Sidedoor Mag, HotNewHipHop and hip hop culture platforms such as Akademiks, No Jumper, Kollege Kidd, Say Cheese TV, Rapseason, OneTackMind, Rap. His previous single “Wave” is set to be featured on the top hip hop podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game.

The music of Portion is the result of self-discovery, perseverance, and trial-and-error. His upcoming project, which was recorded between Atlanta and his home studio in Toronto, encapsulates his growth and maturity over the past four years since his breakout hit "Fif's World," an emotional and deeply personal tribute penned for his late friend Anthony "Fif" Soares, brought him acclaim across North America.
