Rising R&B/Soul singer LesIsMore discusses his musical origins

"Don’t let anyone get in the way of your journey to wherever you’re headed," the artist told RemixdMag. "If it’s meant to be, it’ll happen."

LesIsMore is a rising R&B/Soul singer currently based in Los Angeles and is determined to not let anyone get in the way of pursuing his musical journey.

The 23-year-old R&B/Soul singer has been consistent in putting out music and it is evident already that his work ethic is far beyond his years. From just one listen, it's clear to see how LesIsMore has a talent for mixing and mastering his vocals with the perfect beat. Audiences can easily vibe to any of his tracks, while he provides a melodic hook and catchy tune.

LesIsMore has a voice that is effortlessly smooth on any track, which has enabled him to earn an audience from all over the world.

"The feedback I receive from people who hit me up and tell me they listen to my music all the way from places like the UK, Russia, and South Africa ... It’s a crazy feeling!" LesIsMore said in an interview with RemixdMag.

With projects like "More Or Les" and "More Or Les 2" under his belt now, it is clear that LesIsMore is on his way to making a name for himself and distinguishing his music from others.

When asked about if his upbringing played a role in shaping who he is and defining his sound, the artist said, "Absolutely."

"My father used to be a part of a Dominican Spanish band where he played a few instruments such as a bass guitar and what we call a 'tambora' (drum)," he added. "So that definitely drove us to create our own music growing up."

One of his most recently released tracks called "Savior," is a good introduction for those who are listening to the artist for the first time. The track showcases his lyrical ability as well as his vocal range. Other singles like "Options," also fit in with his R&B-tinged sound and display his talent.

Some of the singer's music career goals for the future include reaching over a million streams on his music, headlining a show or tour, and collaborating on projects with artists like Ty Dolla $ign and Scott Storch. As far as his musical influences, LesIsMore named Drake, Chris Brown, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Bryson Tiller as a few of his main ones.

When asked what message that he hopes fans takes away from his music, LesIsMore responded, "Don’t let anyone get in the way of your journey to wherever you’re headed.
