Shown 1K releases new album 'Stackaveli'
"Music is my therapy. When I can’t talk to people, I talk to my microphone," Shown 1K says.
Alabama native Shown 1K has released his highly-anticipated project, Stackavelli. This ten-track album is filled with harmonic flows, metaphoric bars, and clever punch lines that will have listeners ready to press replay. Stackavelli, the name inspired by Tupac Shakur's legendary Makaveli album, is Shown 1K's way of speaking on real experiences involving hustling, trapping, and expressing his rebirth as an artist.
"Before this project, I had not released any music. I felt like I was being reborn by releasing Stackavelli," Shown 1K explained to Remixd Magazine. "I started to see how much my music affected other people and realized I had a gift to feed my family."
The leading single on the project, "Damaged Healer (VooDo Lady)", has generated major buzz since its release, also paired with an enticing visual that demonstrates Shown 1K's creativity as a rapper:
"Damaged Healer (VooDo Lady)" being the lyrical masterpiece that it is, Shown 1K also reveals to Remixd Magazine how his favorite tracks on Stakaveli are "Intro" and "Outro."
"I feel like it's very important how you arrive and leave on albums. I will always give everything in my body of work and leave on a good note."
Currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, Shown 1K has big plans to release more music in the future. As he also spoke about having four extra albums in his music vault, the rapper does not plan to stop releasing records anytime soon.
"The dates are TBA for my next four albums," he said. "I want to have a good rollout for these albums because it is time for the world to know who Shown 1K is. My main goal is to be heard, brand the name, and help other artists who are in my position now."
Shown 1K undoubtedly showcases figurative lyricism and originality in his craft, only adding to his goal of leaving a positive mark in the industry. A message this artist wants to relay to his fans:
"To stay down and stay focus and never give up on your dreams because tomorrow is a new day and as an artist, never limit your creativity," Shown 1K says.
