Woodah releases third album ‘Growing Pains’

Independent artist Woodah has unveiled his third consecutive album Growing Pains, which is out now on all platforms. Growing Pains includes 15 tracks that serve as an inside look at moments in Woodah’s life; speaking on Black empowerment, mental health, and financial freedom. Growing Pains presents Woodah’s talent of expressing vulnerability and passion within each lyric, displaying to the world what he is capable of as a rapper.

“After a combination of near-death experiences and frustration with the PTSD that came from those experiences, my first album was a form of expression and questioning as I tried to deal with those feelings and thoughts,” Woodah said. “My latest album, Growing Pains, has spawned the past covering that specific time of life and also speaking on every aspect of my life.”

Growing Pains reveals the Winston-Salem native’s growth from rapping at the age of 12 on lunchroom tables and SoundCloud releases, to now dropping three albums on Apple Music and Spotify. Woodah’s early music catalog has been done in close friends’ closets and bedroom studios. The hustle from what first started as a hobby has grown into becoming a full-blown passion, allowing Woodah to connect with producers, artists, and fans from all over the world.

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. Life comes in phases and every phase of life pushes you to change. Becoming a new person to deal with those new challenges.”
