Y Chibi drops emotional track “2 Many Times”

The latest track from 17-year old artist Y Chibi was released ahead of his upcoming project No Cosign releasing on May 21st. While still new in the music world, Y Chibi is gaining traction in his hometown of Dallas and beyond with his previous single “Big Dawg,” garnering half a million streams in less than a month. On the Nigerian-American emcee’s newest song he speaks on the painful experiences he’s gone through in such a short amount of time. From his father unexpectedly passing away to losing friends to street life or just growing apart, Y Chibi has experienced many trials that listeners can relate to.

“Things happened to me early, I had to focus on growing up. I had to grind and challenge myself,” he said.

To cope with life’s pains at such a young age, Y Chibi turned to music and it has not been in vain. His uncle seeing his potential and wanting to keep him away from life in the streets, helped him to get studio time and release his first full-length project Pain-Tence at 16 years old. Since it’s release he has seen a steady incline in streams and popularity and with his second project dropping next month he will hopefully be able to keep his momentum.
